Privacy notice
We collect as little as we can: only what you choose to send us. This notice explains what that is, why we need it, who else handles it, and how you stay in control of it.
Who is responsible
Promeing, Tirana, Albania, is the controller of the personal data processed through promeing.com. For anything in this notice, write to contact@promeing.com.
What we collect
Only what you send us, and the technical data any website receives. Nothing else.
A project brief
- What it contains
- Your answers in the brief: the problem, where it needs to run, where you are today, your own description, your name and work email, your company if you add it, your region, and whether you’d prefer a call.
- Why
- To read your enquiry, reply to you and, if you want to go further, prepare a proposal.
- Legal basis
- Your request and the steps before a contract. Consent for the optional details.
Email to us
- What it contains
- Your message, your email address and anything you choose to include.
- Why
- To reply to you.
- Legal basis
- Your request and the steps before a contract.
Server logs
- What it contains
- Technical data your browser sends with every request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. They are kept by our hosting provider, Vercel.
- Why
- To deliver the website and keep it secure.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in a website that works and is secure.
On your device
- What it contains
- Three settings, in localStorage: sound on or off, motion paused, and “Skip typing” in the brief. While you fill in the brief, in sessionStorage (cleared when you close the tab): the problem, capability or project you started from, and your answers to the first four questions, including your own description. Never your contact details.
- Why
- To remember the settings you chose, and so a brief you have started survives a reload or a move between pages, without typing anything twice.
- Legal basis
- Needed for a function you asked for. It stays in your browser unless you send the brief.
We use no analytics, advertising or social-media trackers, and we set no tracking cookies. No AI model reads your answers on this page, we don’t use what you send us to train AI models, and we make no decisions about you by automated means. We don’t add you to a mailing list.
Why we may use it
We rely on the Albanian law on personal data protection and, where they apply to you, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
- Your request and the steps before a contract cover your brief and your emails: we need them to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Consent covers the optional details you add. You can withdraw it at any time; that doesn’t affect what we did with it before (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Legitimate interests cover server logs: running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Legal obligations apply where the law requires us to keep records, for example if we go on to work together (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Who else handles it
Only the providers we need to run this website and to receive your message. They process it on our behalf and under our instructions:
- Vercel Inc., our hosting provider, which serves this website and runs the service that delivers your brief.
- Our email providers, which carry the brief from this website to our inbox and hold the emails you send us.
We don’t sell or rent personal data, and we share it with no one else unless the law requires us to.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside Albania and the European Union, for example in the United States. Where they do, they rely on their own safeguards for international transfers, such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry only as long as we need it to handle it and any work that follows from it, or longer only where the law requires us to. Vercel keeps server logs for a limited period under its own policy. On your device, the three settings stay until you clear this site’s data in your browser (turning motion back on, or “Skip typing” off, removes that setting at once). What the brief keeps is deleted when you send it, and otherwise when you close the tab.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you have the right to:
- Access
- Ask what data we hold about you and get a copy.
- Rectification
- Have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Erasure
- Have your data deleted when we no longer need it or have no basis to keep it.
- Restriction
- Ask us to pause using your data while a question about it is resolved.
- Objection
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Portability
- Receive the data you gave us in a common, machine-readable format.
You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Albania, that is the Information and Data Protection Commissioner. In the European Union, it is the authority in the country where you live or work. In Switzerland, it is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
How to use them
Write to contact@promeing.com, preferably from the address you used to contact us, and tell us what you would like. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We answer without undue delay and within the time the law sets: under the GDPR, one month.
